.:: Direct connection (simple home made interface) ::.

Connecting a transceiver.

You have two basic options for keying the transmitter:

- "hardware" keying via RTS or DTR line of a serial port (preferred).
- "software" command via the CAT interface (supported in some transceivers).

A simple circuit for connecting PTT, CW, and CAT (RXD and TXD) lines to the computer can be as follows. Use a 9- or 25-pin connector.



Connecting a CW paddle ( MixW allows connecting a CW paddle to the joystick port. Use a 15-pin connector).


TRLog-compatible LPT port interface (Since MixW 2.05).
